Rihanna

rihanna

Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988. She was the first person from Barbados to win a Grammy award.

Rihanna’s debut album, Music of the Sun, was released August 28, 2005 from which, further singles were released, the first being “Pon de Replay” which was released on Oct 11, 2005 and reached position #2 in both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart and gained several #1 positions in various niche charts. The single itself was written by Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers alongside Rihanna herself and described by Rolling Stone magazine as a “poppy piece of dancehall reggae with slapping, syncopated beats recalling big-band jazz.” However, despite Pon de Replay’s commercial chart success, the album itself was rated 2½ out of 5 stars by Rolling Stone magazine and described as lacking the replay value, ingenuity and rhythm of the single with “generic vocal hiccups and frills” of US R&B inflecting upon her “Caribbean charm”.

Rihanna released her second album, A Girl like Me, in April 2006; less than eight months after the release of her first album. The album debuted at number five in the U.S. and number four in the UK. The lead single, “SOS”, was used in an endorsement deal with Nike. The song became Rihanna’s first number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart; it also debuted at number one on the Hot Digital Songs chart. “SOS” peaked at number one in Australia and number two in the UK. The second single, entitled “Unfaithful”, was written by R&B singer Ne-Yo. The song became her third top ten hit in the U.S. and in the UK. The third single, “We Ride”, wasn’t as successful as her previous releases, failing to chart on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, however, it became her fifth UK top 20 single, where it peaked at number 17 on that chart and peaked number one on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart. Rihanna’s fourth single from the album, “Break It Off” featuring Sean Paul, had already climbed to number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 based solely on airplay. It was released as a digital download on February 19, 2007, which made the song jump from number fifty-two to number ten and then eventually peak at number nine

Rihanna went into the studio in early 2007 with Ne-Yo, Stargate, and Timbaland among others to record her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad. The album was released on June 5, 2007. It features Jay-Z and Ne-Yo as featured artists. Rihanna worked with Timbaland on three songs in the album. Justin Timberlake co-wrote and provides background vocals on “Rehab”. Seven weeks after the album was released, it had gone platinum in the United States and 3x Platinum on the United World Albums Chart.

The first single, “Umbrella”, featuring Jay-Z, was released on March 29, 2007, reaching number one in various countries, including the U.S. “Umbrella” was the #1 single in the UK for 10 consecutive weeks. It was the longest running UK #1 single since “Wet Wet Wet’s” single “Love Is All Around”, back in 1994, and the longest running #1 by a female artist since Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”, which also topped the chart for 10 weeks in 1992. It was produced by Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Terius “The-Dream” Nash. Umbrella was set at #2 at the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart, behind Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable”.[25] However, Umbrella is the most successful song of 2007, getting 8,160,000 points on the United World Chart.

The Human Eyes

eye

The human eye is an organ which allows you to see. In the eye light enters the pupil and is focused on the retina by the lens. Light-sensitive nerves called RODS (for Brightness) CONES (for Colour) react to the light. They interact with each other and send messages to the brain that indicate brightness, colour, and contour.

The visual system in the brain is too slow to process information if the images are slipping across the retina at more than a few degrees per second. For humans to be able to see while moving, the brain must compensate for the motion of the head by turning the eyes. Another complication for vision in frontal-eyed animals is the development of a small area of the retina with a very high visual acuity. This area is called the fovea, and covers about 2 degrees of visual angle in people. To get a clear view of the world, the brain must turn the eyes so that the image of the object of regard falls on the fovea. Eye movements are very important for visual perception, and any failure to make them correctly can lead to serious visual disabilities.

Having two eyes is an added complication, because the brain must point both of them accurately enough that the object of regard falls on corresponding points of the two retinas; otherwise, double vision would occur. The movements of different body parts are controlled by striated muscles acting around joints. The movements of the eye are no exception, but they have special advantages not shared by skeletal muscles and joints, and so are considerably different.

The very back of the eye is lined with a layer called the retina which acts very much like the film of the camera. The retina is a membrane containing photoreceptor nerve cells that lines the inside back wall of the eye. The photoreceptor nerve cells of the retina change the light rays into electrical impulses and send them through the optic nerve to the brain where an
image is perceived. The centre 10% of the retina is called the macula. This is responsible for your sharp vision, your reading vision. The peripheral retina is responsible for the peripheral vision. As with the camera, if the "film" is bad in the eye (i.e. the retina), no matter how good the rest of the eye is, you will not get a good picture.

Iris
Inside the anterior chamber is the iris. This is the part of the eye which is responsible for one’s eye colour. It acts like the diaphragm of a camera, dilating and constricting the pupil to allow more or less light into the eye.

Pupil
The dark opening in the centre of the coloured iris that controls how much light enters the eye. The coloured iris functions like the iris of a camera, opening and closing, to control the amount of light entering through the pupil.

Iris

Lens
The part of the eye immediately behind the iris that performs delicate focusing of light rays upon the retina. In persons under 40, the lens is soft and pliable, allowing for fine focusing from a wide variety of distances. For individuals over 40, the lens begins to become less pliable, making focusing upon objects near to the eye more difficult. This is known as
presbyopia.

Tenchu Z

Tenchu Z

Tenchu Z is an Xbox 360 game. Its about Ninja Assassins. First you create your Ninja, hair, clothes…etc. Then you first do Ninja Training where you practice the Ninja skills. Then you go to the head of the Ninjas and choose  mission where you assassin somebody or get information or find something important.

Tenchu Z

After the mission is complete you get some gold depending on your performance. But this game is not all about killing if you kill many enemies or you get hurt because you have been caught in the village your points decrease which leads to less achievement of gold. The less enemies you kill the more gold you achieve!

Tenchu Z

But the best thing about this game is the Xbox Live, you meet various different people who are good or bad at this game. And when you go to a mission together (Max 4) you have to help each other to survive because if one of the character dies its the end of the mission. And I have found a couple of friends my self. I think that if you get this game you will be better of playing online with other players! Its more fun!!
